A specialised module on “Traffic Management and Road Crash Investigation” was conducted at the College of Traffic Management for the IPS Probationers on behalf of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad. 151 Probationer Officers of 69RR (2016 batch) including 24 lady officers participated in the programme. These also included 15 Officers from Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives. The Group was led by Mr. Rajeev Sabharwal, IPS, Joint Director of the National Police Academy.

As a special gesture all the Probationers put their hand impressions on the Canvas to make a Commitment towards making Global Roads Safer in the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020.
In 2010, over 100 countries of the world including India supported the UN General Assembly Resolution which proclaimed 2011-2020 as the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety to stabilize and reduce the global burden of road traffic fatalities by 50% in the Decade.
