College of Traffic Mangement
The College of Traffic Management (CTM) under the aegis of Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) was established in
2009. The College is a researched based institution located on the Surajkund Badhkal Road, adjacent to the Manav Rachna
University in Faridabad, NCR Delhi. What makes the College so exceptional is its Redbrick facia, incorporated with modern
architecture.
In addition to the two Post Graduate courses, the College offers a variety of short term certificate courses in traffic
management and forensic science that includes the subjects of : traffic engineering, road safety audit, traffic enforcement,
accident investigation, highway asset management, fleet management, driver training, scene of crime investigation,
fingerprint and document examination.
The College has six departments within its campus, namely: Department of Traffic Engineering, Department of Law,
Department of Traffic Enforcement, Department of Forensic Science, Department of Public Health for Road Safety, and the
Department of Driver Training & Road Safety Education. The departments collectively and individually conduct the courses
and are supported with the best laboratories. The College also boasts of having the Road Safety Hall of Nations (where the
United Nations held the first Session of the Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety, out of the Palais of Geneva in 2013) and the
Road Safety Court of Justice ( created for the training of Prosecutors and Judicial Officers).
With affiliation of the Maharshi Dayanand University-Rohtak, the College of Traffic Management (CTM) offers Post Graduate
Courses Viz. M. Sc.in Traffic Management & M.Sc. in Forensic Sciences.
CTM-IRTE has entered in to a MoU with Graz University of Technology, Austria, University of Birmingham, UK, The National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the Dept. of Transportation of USA the Academic College of Emergency
Experts in India (An Indo-US Emergency Collaborative Undertaking) the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New
Delhi, National Highways Authority of India(NHAI), Malaysian Institute of Road safety (MIROS), Punjab and Haryana Police
amongst others.
The College shows a vision to become one of the premiere institutes, with its dedication in providing outstanding quality
education with innovation and is vigorously promoting inter-disciplinary research through its core disciplines.
